At Ibstock, we take pride in our commitment to environmental and social responsibility and are delighted to publish our latest sustainability report, covering the 2023 period.
Joe Hudson, CEO for the Ibstock Plc commented, ‘‘Despite the challenging market conditions that the UK construction industry have faced throughout the period, the Ibstock Group have continued to deliver on our commitments, and I am extremely proud of what we have achieved so far against our ESG 2030 Strategy ambitions as we: address climate change, manufacture materials for life and improve lives.
We have a duty to address climate change and have focused plans to achieve this in the near term through the reduction of the carbon we emit from our manufacturing processes, coupled with significant research and development projects progressing forward to achieve our longer-term carbon reduction goals.
We are also making great strides in delivering innovative and more sustainable building products and solutions to our customers through investment in product evolution and new product development.
Underpinning this progress, is our caring culture that I believe sets us apart, aligned to our improving lives ambitions that are a fundamental part of our overall ESG strategy. We take considerable pride in how we look after each other as well as the local communities we operate in and build for.’’
Our latest sustainability report is a testament to the progress we have made so far, and represents a promise to continue to learn, evolve and adopt our approach with the rapidly changing world around us.
