Jambs will have 100mm s/s anchor slots where they exceed 450mm in length. No fixing allowance will be made for the interconnection at the head and cill level unless specified.

As all the heads are decorative, a relieving steel lintel should be used with the appropriate joint between the stonework and lintel. NB: all steel lintels should be robust enough not to deflect to such a degree that the head cracks.

As an alternative an SC6 String Course can be used above the surround in lieu of the SC7 String Course shown. For profiles, see String Courses.

If our surrounds are to course with adjacent brickwork, the window frames will need to be larger than standard to take into account the rebate and joint sizes.
